  • Upper Body Exercises
  • Lower Body Exercises
  • Groin Stretching Exercises
  • Wall Stretching Exercises (Side Kick Enhancement)
    • Knee Raise - 30 seconds
    • Knee Raise Sideward Direction - 30 seconds
    • Low Raise as high as possible - 30 seconds
    • Back to Wall, Leg Raise Front - 30 seconds
    • Back to Wall, Leg Raise Side - 30 seconds

Introductory Blocking
(20 minutes)

  • Low Block, Body Block, Face Block
  • Emphasis on Starting and Finishing Points for each movement specified.
  • Speed, Tempo, Power for each movement

DRINKS BREAK (5 MINUTES)

Advanced Poomsae Exercises
(15 minutes)

  • Low Block, Body Block, Face Block
  • Wrist Twisting Action Exercises (How Wrist Twists when Blocking)

DRINKS BREAK (5 MINUTES)

Simulation Poomsae Exercises
(45 minutes)

  • Group Work - Black, Red, Blue, Yellow
  • Yellow - Taegeuk 1 Il Jang
  • Blue - Taegeuk 3 Sum Jang
  • Red - Taegeuk 6 Yuk Jang
  • Black - Poomsae Koryo
  • All techniques will be demonstrated using Stage One Counting Technique

ARE YOU REGISTERED? - ALL students training with Taekwondo Australia affiliated clubs are required to be registered each year and should EACH have one of these cards for 2007. Your registration currency can be checked on the Taekwondo Australia's members list. If you are missing your card please see your instructor as your insurance may not be valid. Renewals will be received by your instructor in January and are due as at 1 February each year.

EARLY COMPETITIONS AND SEMINARS IN 2007 MEAN IT WILL BE IMPORTANT TO PAY YOUR REGISTRATION EARLY SO YOU CAN PARTICIPATE.

Taekwondo Queensland complies with requirements of Blue Card issuance for volunteers and volunteers may download application forms from the Commission for Children site and present them to our State Administrator with identification in order to arrange their blue card - blue card issuance is FREE for volunteers. Anyone over 18 who is involved with volunteering at Taekwondo Queensland functions should click here to go to the commission's site to get your application form. (If your children are involved in the activity you are exempt but we encourage you to consider obtaining a blue card anyway, even if you are exempt.) APPLY NOW!
